Green Goddess Salad Dressing

1 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup Sour Cream
3 Tbsp Tarragon Vinegar
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Parsley, fresh, chopped finely
3 Tbsp White Onion, minced
3 Tbsp Anchovy Paste
1 tsp Chives
2 tsp Capers, chopped
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/8 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Black Pepper

  • Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Refrigerate until used.

Makes about 2 1/2 cups

NOTE: Can serve on salads, or as a Dip with fresh vegetables.  This Dressing was created by the head chef of the Palace Hotel in San Francisco in 1923 to honor George Arliss and the play The Green Goddess. No, this is not a hippie food.
