Ingredients:

16 oz Dates, chopped
2 cups Water, boiling
2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Honey
2/3 cup Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
1 tsp Ginger, ground
1/2 tsp Cloves, ground
1/2 tsp Nutmeg, ground
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 cup WalnutsDirections:

1 cup WalnutsDirections:
- In a medium bowl, place the Dates and pour the Hot Water over it; let it soak for 30 minutes.
- Preheat Oven to 350°F
- In a large bowl, cream the Sugar, Honey, Butter, Vanilla, and Eggs.
- Mix in the Dates and Water.
- In a second bowl, combine the Flour, Spices, Baking Soda and Salt, and mix well.
- Slowly incorporate the Wet Mixture into the Dry Mixture.
- Once incorporated, add the Walnuts and mix well.
- Pour into greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
